Regret of Entering into a Telecom Contract Concluded by Phone (Right of Withdrawal)

If a company sells its products over the phone, it is required by law to give you clear information, including:

  • the company’s identity and address
  • the main features of the product or service
  • the total price
  • the method of payment
  • information on the right of withdrawal
  • the cost of returning the goods
  • the duration of the agreement

In addition, the company must confirm the telephone agreement in writing, typically via email or letter.

If you subscribed remotely (via phone, online, etc.), you may withdraw within 14 calendar days, without justification and free of charge.

If you no longer want to receive unsolicited telephone advertising, you can register your phone number on the “Do Not Call Me!” list. You can do so by calling 02 882 19 75 from the phone number you want to register. Once you're on the list, companies are prohibited from calling you to offer their products and services. More information on the "Do Not Call Me!” list can be found on the website of the Do Not Call Me (DNCM) non-profit organisation.

Stay alert, as some phone calls may be attempts to scam you. If you have lost money, notify your bank immediately. Also, go to your local police station to file a police report.
