Package Holiday: Price Increase
If you have booked a package holiday, the price can only be increased if the contract explicitly allows for this, along with an explanation of how the price increase was calculated.
The price may be increased only if it results from a change in:
- exchange rates applicable to the trip
- transportation costs, including fuel costs
- charges and taxes on certain services
The tour operator must inform you of the price increase in writing or by e-mail at least 20 days before departure.
If the increase exceeds 8 % of the total price, you can cancel the contract without compensation. In that case, the tour operator must promptly refund the amounts already paid.
