Increase in the Price of a Subscription
Has the price of your subscription suddenly increased and you want to know whether this is legal? If your contract includes an indexation clause, the seller has the right to adjust the price in line with the terms specified in the contract. This means the price can be adjusted periodically based on a specific formula outlined in the contract.
This price indexation clause must be explicitly stated in the contract. If there is no clause in the contract, the seller cannot revise the price based on indexation. Furthermore, the clause must be very specific and clearly defined. A general reference to the increase in the consumption index is not sufficient.
