Listed at the National Bank for Improper Loan Repayment
Arrears and defaults are recorded with the National Bank in the negative section of the Individual Credit Register.
If you appear on the negative section of the Individual Credit Register and you are confident that you have no outstanding arrears, there may be reasons, such as:
- insufficient funds during a direct debit;
- late payment and unpaid interest or reminder fees;
- you have not yet cleared a debt in full, and the lender has taken no further action;
- your arrears were cleared less than 12 months ago (such records are kept for 12 months after the payment is regularised);
- you were a victim of theft or loss of your identity card: it may have been used to enter into credit contracts in your name. If this is the cas, file a complaint with the police and send a copy of the complaint to the lender. The provider will probably cancel the fraudulent credit contract and notify the National Bank about the cancellation on your behalf.
